3.Social Networking has hidden dangers for teens
Facebook being one of the main social networking sites teenager use today, This site has polled teenagers where they have found that many of them have posted something online which they have later regretted. This site talks about how teens are not aware of their actions and how it can affect others or themselves now or in the future, and parents being unaware of this. Facebook allows an individual to create a profile and upload photos, express their thoughts and connect with peers, but what Facebook also allows is for another individual to see ones profile and from the profile understand how that person is. For example, before a room-mate moved in, one other room mate not only made a phone call to find out more about their new room-mate but he also jumped on Facebook, where he could see his photos, statues and more, he could judge from there what type of person he was. But this site wants to make sure that parents and schools take charge to make that teens understand the damage a single status or photo can make because everything said in a digital context will not always be taken easily and can lead to major consequences.
